I have been waiting SO LONG to post these photos of baby Kara! SHE'S SO ADORABLE!!!
Ok, let me back up. My very wonderful friends, Rachael and Dale, are proud first-time parents to this sweet little girl. And they are great parents, let me tell you! I'm so glad they asked me to take newborn/family pictures!
I feel like I already have so many sweet memories of little Kara. I remember when her mommy told me she was pregnant in the church kitchen, and I quietly jumped up and down with joy. I remember creating the baby shower invitation. I remember visiting their just a few days after Kara was born and getting to hold her. In fact, I remember telling my husband I was just going to take a peek at the baby and let them rest while I did some cleaning for them. Well, I probably did a lot more baby snuggling than cleaning. He knew I'd be there for several hours once I saw a cute baby! It was a great afternoon.
And now I have these wonderful photos to go with my memories! Newborn photography is about capturing every little inch of these sweet spirits, because they're going to grow up so fast. Photography is the best way to cherish the moments forever.
I love that this session was all about candid and lifestyle photography. It was a cloudy morning and we worried about light, but we had a great time using what we had and playing with the baby. I think the candid shots really capture the special day we had (and the special bond Kara has with her parents).
