I don't normally do rain sessions (gotta protect me camera gear, of course), but when the your client's family is all in town for one day, you have to do something to make it work.
I've known Lisa for a long time. Like, since my childhood. She only had a couple of little ones then, but now she has 12! Some are adults and married, and the last is in kindergarten. What a legacy she and her husband have created! They even have a little grandbaby!
This July, all her kids and their respective families were in town, and the day had to be documented. Unfortunately, there was a ton of rain in Carmel. We quickly pivoted, choosing the shelter at Holliday Park. We did our best to get photos underneath the awning, and then went out in the rain (with my using an umbrella) to capture some silly candid shots.
Scroll through to see one of the most fun sessions I've had this year!
Stumpf family, I can't wait to see you all soon!
Lots of love,
Jacie
