If you are a creative person, you know how hard it can be to define your style. Your inspiration ebbs and flows. The art that speaks to you is all over the place. You want to try so many new things. Your imposter syndrome tells you that you're not good enough. The ever-changing trends are hard to keep up with.
With all that in mind, how do you pick a distinctive and unique style that people will recognize as yours? How do you make a brand?

For me, my style has always been about showing the beauty of the world in the best way possible. I want to capture real love, real moments, and real colors in a timeless way. I quickly realized that my work would be with people for a lifetime - people really treasure pictures of their special moments! So, while I love so many trends and unique artists and poignant, "out-there" art, my work for clients is more classic and timeless.
Here's how I stay true to my style.
I help people be themselves. I ask them about their lives. I pose them in ways they feel comfortable. I get them to laugh and let loose.
I edit photos in a true-to-color fashion. In a world of filters and fakes, I want to capture something more real.
I use a slight matte finish to give my photos a frozen-in-time quality, meaning they will look beautiful and authentic forever. It adds just a touch of moodiness that gives you that special feeling of magic and nostaligia.
